LEAD Premium Bookkeeping Support
When Your Business Needs More Bookkeeping Support
Your business has grown β and the books have grown with it.
By the time your business reaches LEAD, bookkeeping is no longer a small task sitting quietly in the background.
You may have more employees, larger payrolls, higher transaction volumes, more suppliers, more customer payments, multiple bank accounts, credit cards and several systems feeding information into your books.
At this stage, there can be a very big difference between a business needing one substantial bookkeeping day each week and another needing attention across several days.
That is why Stage Five β LEAD has two levels.
LEAD Premium
per week
For an established business requiring substantial ongoing bookkeeping and payroll support.
Work may happen in one substantial block, two shorter sessions, or be spread across several days.
π° Explore 5(a) PremiumLEAD Absolute
per week
For a higher-volume business where bookkeeping and payroll may require attention throughout several days of the working week.
The workload may be concentrated over two days or spread across Monday to Friday depending on what your business needs.
π° Explore 5(b) AbsoluteThink average β not a fixed weekly block
Some weeks may require more work and others less. Over the course of a normal year, we would generally expect the bookkeeping workload to average somewhere around the range shown for the relevant level.
You are charged for the actual work completed.
Absolute Bookkeeping Support
For a higher-volume business where bookkeeping and payroll may require attention throughout several days of the working week.
At this level, the workload is substantial.
You may have a larger team, multiple pay types, regular employee changes, allowances, overtime, leave, superannuation, significant supplier activity, customer payments and multiple bank or payment accounts.
Payroll may no longer be one task that happens once a week.
There may be information arriving on different days, changes before pay day, payroll accounts to reconcile and employee matters affecting the books throughout the week.
Absolute is designed for a business where the ongoing bookkeeping and payroll workload generally averages around 8β16 hours per week.
Absolute Can Move Across the Working Week
The hours may be concentrated over two larger working days, or they may be spread across Monday to Friday depending on what the business needs.
This does not mean every business requires work every day. It shows how the workload can be distributed when payroll, suppliers, banking and other tasks need attention at different times.
Some Weeks Will Move Outside the Range
Below the Range
Stable payroll, clean reconciliations and lower transaction volumes may mean less work is required.
Above the Range
Payroll changes, new employees, terminations, large supplier runs or reconciliation issues can create substantially more work.
Across the Year
The quieter and busier weeks would generally be expected to average somewhere around the Absolute range.
Payroll Can Become a Significant Part of Absolute
A larger payroll does not only mean processing the pay run. There can be considerable work before and after each payroll.
The Business Keeps Moving While Payroll Is Happening
Premium or Absolute?
The difference is primarily the volume and frequency of the bookkeeping and payroll work.
Premium
Typically 6β8 hours per weekSubstantial bookkeeping and payroll support for an established business.
Work may still be concentrated into larger blocks depending on how the business operates.
π° View 5(a) PremiumAbsolute
Typically 8β16 hours per weekA higher-volume bookkeeping and payroll workload often requiring attention across several days.
For some businesses, support may be required throughout the working week.
What Is Separate?
The 8β16 hour range relates to ongoing bookkeeping and agreed payroll work.
BAS preparation and lodgment, IAS preparation and lodgment, budget preparation and cash-flow forecasting are separate services.

Your Payroll and Books Need to Keep Up With the Business
Absolute is for a business where payroll, banking, suppliers, customer payments and financial administration create a significant ongoing bookkeeping workload.
